Today we reached 11 degrees In Vancouver, a bright sunny day. I ignored my workload, walked my dog on a long walk.. I thought allot. I then met a friend at Chai (East meets West) on Main street. Sultry Persian music played, babies with rosy cheeks, girlfriends chatting over tea, the smell of cinnamon.. As I listen to the life experience's of my friend, I felt I was missing a huge part in my life..Travel. This meet helped me re-focus and re invent my mission, no matter what. I was feeling quite lost the last few months, My mum getting older, my little companion and thinking about what I would do if I lost her now. Sushi my fat butterball pug. Finance..it seems like a hopeless thought. But really its not.  My friend just picked up and left, 3 years teaching diving in Maui at 21 years of age. Thailand long term treks..and when she was all said and done, she settled her goals on her own space..and re-building walls, revamping a vintage home and still manages to do fitness....

What do you get will 11 women, A cabin on a mountain? Adventure!! Mount Washington is a quaint, but very popular resort on the Island, 20 minutes outside of of Comox. The girls were from Naninmo, Victoria, Duncan,, Nanoose, Kootneys and lastly my 2 women from Vancouver. After two weeks of straight work for me and my girlfriend, this trip looked like it was finally going to happen. They said it would work..... I mentioned a few weeks ago, how my weeks were filled with nothing, and one morning I got up and looked in the mirror and saw myself age. This week has been much reflection, and for me its been shared with one of my dear friends who has just started over, however she is  only 32- We started off the week pretty good, going hiking on the mountain and just talking about goals and things that we want. It was end of week on our way to the mountain, we decided to have a beauty day. The mountain, Cypress, was full with no parking available, no side streets available either. We chose a beauty day. Not just a beauty day..like at the drugstore, a medical beauty day. My friend used to work for high end laser and a plastic surgeon. I bought my first anti aging face kit. You can only stay in the closet for so long...seriously.. What I mean by this is at some point you are forced to shine. You cant live with the idea of sadness forever..and you certainly wont get anywhere with being in love with the idea of love. Let's be real here , love will not find you-it is up to you to get out there in the world and be present in the now- to be seen, to acknowledged and possibly by chance, someone will see you for who you really are. and... lip service will get you No where..really it is another wall you choose to hid behind, a mask... I was in the trails of Cypress Mountain at night, the trails were lit up and the trees looked like magic,  white massive snow globs. I shone the light onto the trees, they sparkled. The path had been untouched by people or predators. I am in my pink lamb PJ's and am uncertain why I am here. I walk a few steps then realize I am freezing, I look down at my bare feet in moccasins that are getting quite wet. I keep walking and say "hello" No one responds, I have anxiety, and start to break out in a cold sweat. I start running, but there seems to be no end. I stop suddenly, as I see a deer nuzzling the snow. I stare at it, and then as the deer looks at me, my vision zooms like I am being transported threw a tunnel..and I wake up. I am in my PJ's in a drenched bed. I get up shake my head, curse, as I rip off my PJ's and head for the shower. The next day goes by very quickly. 11pm, I am checking my email accounts, there are like 4. I am looking at the stats on...

If I were to write a sitcom similar to the movie, "Sex in the City", I guarantee my female friends and men would blow the audience away, people would be begging for more. The women in my story would probably keep viewers far more entertained than the three characters in sex in the city. I am reflecting on some funny moments with my amazing friends coming into the New Year. This year I decided to work, and set some goals for myself. I hope you all rang in the New Year as you all wanted to, and that it was grand and special to you ! On facebook I have 580 friends, approximately. A good 100 are from the town I went to high school in, old and new-more like family.
